We were made to be in God’s presence, to know him and be known, full of joy and peace.
God intended us to be like him, to take care of his world with justice and mercy.
But the sad truth is that all of us, instead of trusting God, listen to the voice of doubt and dissatisfaction. Seeking our own Eden by means of lust, greed, and violence, we eventually find ourselves empty, ashamed, and enslaved.
So God entered the world as Jesus to rescue us from darkness and bring us back into his presence. By his perfect life, death, and resurrection, Christ is Savior and Lord, reconciling all of creation to God the Father.
Reborn and led by the Spirit, we submit our lives to Jesus and yearn for his coming, when his kingdom of peace will be complete.
When it comes to doctrine, we emphasize the core Christian beliefs as laid out in the Apostle’s Creed. Additionally we are guided by the perspectives of our denomination, the Christian & Missionary Alliance. However, we would say that our beliefs are best understood through our practices.
For a fuller explanation of our beliefs and practices, read this Way of Life document.
